We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Material Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and staging materials for shipment. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure the safe handling of all products. Responsibilities:
- Unload and load trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and accuracy against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick and stage orders accurately based on pick lists and shipping schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of wearing appropriate PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
