We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Portland, Oregon. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in efficiently and accurately fulfilling customer orders. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using a pick list or scanner.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Operate electric pallet jacks or other picking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport picked items to the packing and shipping stations.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or product location immediately.
- Follow all instructions regarding the use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, such as stocking and cycle counting, as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Proficiency in operating hand-held scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic within the logistics field.
