We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any damages or discrepancies in shipments.
- Unload incoming freight using appropriate equipment, adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Organize and stage received goods for distribution or storage.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any receiving-related issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and workplace safety.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and warehouse safety protocols.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Commitment to a safe and productive work environment.
