We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse operations in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials. Your proficiency in operating various types of forklifts is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our logistics facility. You will play a key part in receiving, warehousing, and shipping processes, ensuring inventory is handled correctly and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers accurately and safely.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring stability.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Follow all Safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments as directed.
- Adhere to all company policies and operational guidelines for logistics.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a proven track record of safe operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts and their operation.
- Good spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management is a plus.
