We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials, products, and supplies throughout the warehouse. Your primary duties will include receiving, warehousing, and order fulfillment operations. This is a crucial role in our logistics chain, ensuring that goods are handled correctly from arrival to dispatch. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to maintain an organized and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
- Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors and contribute to team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic inventory management.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
