Join our Salt Lake City, Utah team as a Material Handler! We are looking for motivated individuals to support our warehouse operations by efficiently moving and organizing materials. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring that products are handled correctly from arrival to departure. You will be responsible for tasks such as loading, unloading, stocking, and picking materials, using various tools and equipment. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to follow all established protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE. The position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Stock and organize inventory within the warehouse according to established layouts.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Ensure accurate identification and counting of materials handled.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet wrappers when trained and certified.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Report any issues with materials, equipment, or safety hazards to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Worker, or in a similar role.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and basic warehouse equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and inventory management.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
