In this position, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by picking items from shelves and preparing them for shipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately, and a strong commitment to safety. You will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the efficient flow of goods through our distribution center. We provide thorough training on our systems and safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper protection and labeling.
- Verify order accuracy before packing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any damages or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and reach.
- Capability for moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and order fulfillment processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous picking and packing experience is a plus.
Your role is critical to our logistics success, ensuring orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. A strong focus on safety is maintained, and you will be trained on proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE. Your accuracy and speed contribute directly to the overall performance of our warehouse.
