We will be hosting a hiring event on February 19th in Huntsville, AL. If chosen for an interview, you will have an interview time and location.
We will be interviewing levels 2, 3 and 4 and 5 for roles, on this contract and at this hiring event. The positions are on-site 100% of the time.

Detecting an enemy missile launch, identifying its intended target, calculating its precise trajectory, launching an interceptor, and guiding it to successfully destroy the threat in mid-air is an extraordinarily complex and challenging task. It demands a seamless integration of advanced technologies, sophisticated systems, and highly skilled personnel.
The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to be part of the team in developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.
As a
Systems Engineer
on the NGI program, you should have a complete understanding of at least one of the key system subject areas with the opportunity to work in all fields to include systems definition, decomposition, allocation, traceability, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, analysis, and test.
Responsibilities
Some of the roles and responsibilities you will leverage your expertise and talent to accomplish include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support major program reviews, including SRR, PDR, and CDR
- Participate in specification and interface development/documentation, and support the development of verification plans
- You may also have the opportunity to participate in system-level analyses in support of mission planning/execution and tests at various test ranges. Some travel will be required ~10%
To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need
- Drive the development of hardware within cost and schedule constraints
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills
- Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
- Work under only general direction.
- Flight hardware experience
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin specifications, tools, and procedures
- Hands-on hardware experience
- Experience working with suppliers
- Strong communication skills and able to effectively work with customer and suppliers.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
