Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Team Member - Service/Cashier to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience with retail operations such as POS systems, cashiering, and merchandising. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. This position offers an engaging environment where teamwork and customer satisfaction are prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience
• Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
• Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales
• Maintain merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive and organized presentation
• Conduct stock replenishment and inventory management tasks as needed
• Handle customer transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
• Support in cashiering duties including processing payments, issuing receipts, and managing cash register operations
• Promote store promotions and new products to increase sales opportunities
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the service area to meet store standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is a plus
• Ability to upsell products and perform product demos confidently
• Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele
• Experience supervising or leading team members is desirable but not required
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation are essential
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude
