The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist with medication preparation, packaging, and inventory management in the pharmacy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pharmacist with filling and packaging medication orders.
- Handle inventory, including restocking, organizing, and monitoring supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all licensure, federal, state, and local regulations, following pharmacy policies and best practices.
- Report product incidents in accordance with pharmacy policy.
- Participate in inspections and surveys conducted by authorized agencies.
- Support pharmacy performance improvement initiatives as directed.
- Attend in-service education programs and pursue continuing education relevant to the role.
- Report any misconduct or suspicious activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
- Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.
- Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.
- Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in California, required.
- Experience with Specialty, Infusion, and Mail Order, preferred.
- Experience with CPR+ and CareTend BI, preferred.
