Reading Interventionist

• Part-time position: Hours to be determined by building principal.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Associates (or higher) degree, or have two years of college (60 credits), or have successfully passed the ETS Paraprofessional exam.
• Must possess a friendly, positive attitude.
• Excellent work performance, dependability, and confidentiality are required.
• Self-motivated, positive, team-oriented individual willing to work with students and staff.
• Ability to pass a criminal background and unprofessional conduct background checks.

Skills & Position Requirements

• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
• Provide in-classroom one on one or small group instructional support
• Observe and document student progress as directed
• Communicate student progress with classroom teachers
• Act as a representative of the district when greeting and dealing with parents, community members, vendors, students, and employees.
• Regular dependable attendance is a critical performance factor to ensure high quality customer service.
• Other responsibilities as needed.
