Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. This role involves supporting nursing staff by assisting with daily patient activities, vital signs, and basic medical procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for all patients.
Shift
Shift: 12 hours/ 3 days Mon, Wed, Sat (5:00am - 5:30pm)
Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation of medical records.
- Provide specialized care for patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or behavioral health conditions, including memory care techniques.
- Assist in wound care, catheter care, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings including hospitals and clinics.
- Support patients during procedures such as phlebotomy or other medical-surgical tasks as trained.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient service.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of employment.
- Experience working in various healthcare environments such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support certification.
- Experience in specialized care areas such as Alzheimer's/dementia care, behavioral health, pediatric or geriatric care is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Strong communication skills coupled with compassion and patience for patient-centered care.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
Work Location: In person
