Kitchen Expediter

As an Expeditor at Salt Steakhouse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of food from the kitchen to the dining area. You will coordinate between kitchen staff and servers, helping to maintain high standards of quality and presentation in every dish served. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and prioritize orders to ensure timely delivery to customers.

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to relay orders and special requests.

• Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and quality before they leave the kitchen.

• Ensure that all items are served according to restaurant standards and specifications.

• Monitor the kitchen for cleanliness and organization, adhering to health and safety regulations.

• Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper expediting procedures.

• Collaborate with servers to address any customer inquiries or concerns quickly and efficiently.

• Maintain a calm demeanor during high-pressure situations, ensuring that service remains smooth.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual, Spanish speaking preferred

• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.

• Capability to lift and move heavy trays and equipment as needed.
