About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join the company as the
first hire
in a new image analysis software initiative. The
Machine Vision Software Support Engineer
will configure, customize, and support image analysis software—both proprietary and third-party—integrated with industrial cameras and lenses. These solutions are primarily used in factory automation environments to detect production issues and optimize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure and operate machine vision and image analysis software (in-house and third-party)
• Integrate image analysis software with industrial cameras and lenses
• Gather customer requirements and provide technical solutions
• Customize software and implement programming enhancements
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and system issues
• Conduct customer training sessions and provide technical support
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on projects
• Attend trade shows and visit customer sites (approximately once per month)
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience with machine vision or image processing tools such as
Halcon, VisionPro, LabVIEW, MATLAB
, or similar
• Strong programming skills in
Python, C++, or related languages
• Experience working with image analysis and vision-based systems
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong communication skills with customer-facing experience
• Native-level English proficiency
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Skills
• Experience with factory automation and industrial cameras
• Knowledge of machine learning or AI-based image analysis
• Prior experience supporting or deploying vision systems in manufacturing environments
