Join our growing distribution center in Des Moines, Iowa, as a Distribution Center Associate! We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals to contribute to our warehouse operations. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our entire supply chain, involving a variety of tasks from receiving and stocking to picking and packing. You will work in a dynamic environment, playing a key role in our Logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Process outgoing shipments and ensure correct labeling.
- Report any damaged goods or safety hazards immediately.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Willingness to learn and operate various warehouse equipment.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , such as safety vests and steel-toed boots.
