Our dynamic facility in Washington, D.C. is seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, speed, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and Safety within our Logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse inventory using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Inspect items for damage and ensure correct quantities are gathered.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials, ensuring items are secure and protected for transit.
- Label packages accurately for shipment and verify shipping information.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist in receiving and stocking incoming inventory as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding Safety .
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Wear all mandated PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of Logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE .
