Our Madison, Wisconsin facility needs a precise and efficient Order Picker to join our team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the efficiency of our Logistics operations. You'll work with advanced scanning technology and operate various warehouse equipment to retrieve items from our extensive inventory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or digital scans.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use of RF scanners and other technology to track inventory movement.
- Operate pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Package picked items for transport, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
- Replenish stock in picking locations as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Participate in inventory control activities.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety glasses and appropriate footwear.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse picking role is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including frequent Lifting (up to 40 lbs) and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear necessary PPE such as gloves and safety shoes.
