Our Tampa, Florida facility is looking for skilled Material Handlers to join our logistics team. This position is essential for the smooth flow of goods throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and managing materials efficiently and safely, ensuring that operations run seamlessly. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts or other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Must be capable of lifting heavy items consistently.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in logistics and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Detail-oriented and reliable.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
