Join our dedicated logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Picker/Packer. This role is integral to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and carefully packed for shipment. You will utilize scanning technology and follow specific procedures to maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency. Working in a dynamic warehouse environment, you'll contribute to the seamless operation of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify product identification and quantity before packing.
- Package items securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation correctly.
- Inspect products for any defects or damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all logistics guidelines.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety rules, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily productivity goals.
- Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic understanding of logistics operations is a plus. Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE is essential.
