Become an essential part of our logistics network as a Shipping Clerk in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is vital for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and carrier regulations. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers for pickup and delivery. Your role helps maintain the integrity of our supply chain and ensures customer satisfaction. This position requires strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail within a busy warehouse environment. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and comprehensive training on logistics procedures and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify order details against shipping orders to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Operate shipping software and systems.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for proper packaging and labeling.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and other departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company logistics policies.
- Perform duties that may include lifting and moving packages.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar administrative role is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient computer skills, including experience with shipping software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be capable of occasional lifting of packages up to 50 lbs. Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles is a plus. Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and utilizing PPE correctly is mandatory.
