Join our growing logistics team in San Antonio, Texas, as a Material Handler! We are looking for strong, dependable individuals to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, and ensuring materials are stored efficiently and safely. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of our operations, from receiving to shipping. A solid understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the ability to perform tasks involving substantial Lifting are essential. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any defects.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding role.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to adhering to all PPE requirements.
