Job Summary:
Our growing logistics operation in Fort Worth, Texas, is looking for a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This role is essential for managing the inbound and outbound flow of inventory, ensuring that all goods are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents, stocking shelves, and preparing outgoing orders for distribution. Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy are paramount. You will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, so an ability to multitask and maintain a high level of productivity is key. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect inbound shipments for damage and discrepancies.
  • Verify the accuracy of received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Stock received items in appropriate warehouse locations, ensuring proper inventory rotation.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders according to shipping manifests.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory levels and shipping status.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the use of required PPE.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in various warehouse conditions.
