We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping operations. Your tasks will include preparing shipping documentation, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This position is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers. We are dedicated to providing a safe working environment and will supply all necessary PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
- Verify outgoing orders against shipping manifests for accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL).
- Track shipments and provide updates to customers or internal stakeholders as needed.
- Operate shipping department equipment, such as scales and printers.
- Maintain organized shipping areas and ensure proper flow of goods.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and shipping regulations.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and gloves, as required.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as needed to support overall warehouse logistics.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and files for audit purposes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any shipping-related issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and online carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
- Commitment to adhering to PPE requirements.
