Job Summary:
Join our fast-paced logistics operations as a Shipping Clerk in Richmond, Virginia! This role is integral to ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, managing shipping documentation, and coordinating with carriers to dispatch outbound freight. Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick, pack, and label customer orders for shipment.
  • Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate with various shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.) for pickup schedules.
  • Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against order details.
  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain organized and tidy shipping areas, ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks within the shipping department.
  • Ensure all team members are adhering to safety protocols and using the required PPE.
  • Assist with other warehouse functions as directed to support overall logistics flow.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping or order fulfillment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
  • Proficiency in basic math and data entry.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform consistent lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and proper lifting methods.
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving within the logistics environment.
