We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods from our distribution center in Durham, North Carolina. This role is crucial for ensuring that orders are processed accurately, packed securely, and shipped out on time. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and maintaining accurate shipping records. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Generate shipping labels and packing slips using our WMS.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Verify shipping addresses and order details to prevent errors.
- Maintain organized records of all outgoing shipments.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipping status.
- Ensure all packages are properly packed and secured for transit.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with computer systems and shipping software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle Lifting of packages up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and best practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
