Seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our logistics hub in Orlando, Florida. This role is vital for ensuring that all incoming goods are processed accurately and efficiently, forming the foundation of our inventory management. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a secure and efficient receiving area. Your contribution is essential to the smooth flow of our logistics operations. This position requires physical capability, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. A strong emphasis is placed on safety ; therefore, strict adherence to all established protocols and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and verify against shipping documents.
- Inspect goods for any damages or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Label and stage items for proper storage or distribution.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and standards.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE .
- Support overall warehouse logistics through efficient receiving processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse workflows.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
