We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker at our Columbus, Ohio facility! This role is key to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will navigate the warehouse, identify requested items, and prepare them for shipment. You will work closely with inventory management and shipping departments to maintain seamless operations. This position demands speed, accuracy, and a strong focus on safety. You'll be expected to handle moderate lifting and to consistently use appropriate PPE. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong work ethic, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders and pick lists/scanners.
- Locate items within the warehouse using established procedures.
- Verify product codes and quantities before moving items to the staging area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment to move inventory efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to the overall warehouse neatness.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, product damage, or safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.
- Assist with putting away stock and replenishment of picking locations.
- Meet or exceed established picking rates and accuracy standards.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse workflows.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
