As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our distribution center. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring that products are moved, stored, and prepared for shipment without damage. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any issues.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory.
- Assist with picking, packing, and shipping orders as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts.
- Follow all logistics procedures to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and use of PPE is essential.
This role is integral to our logistics operations, demanding precision and adherence to safety standards. You will be expected to consistently use PPE and follow all safety guidelines related to material handling and forklift operation. Your contribution to efficient and safe warehouse functions is highly valued.
