We are looking for a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to manage our operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is pivotal in overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and coordinating staff. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and productive work environment, managing inventory, and ensuring that our logistics processes are optimized for speed and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficiency.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics providers for timely inbound and outbound shipments.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience enforcing them.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain best practices.
Requirements:
This role requires strong leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a safe and efficient work environment. You must be adept at managing multiple priorities and problem-solving. Experience in heavy lifting and moving materials within a logistics setting is beneficial. Compliance with all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected.
