You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist in organizing inventory. Precision and adherence to safety protocols are essential. You will work closely with warehouse associates and supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and meet operational demands. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated locations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Follow traffic rules within the warehouse facility.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
