We are hiring a Material Handler for our facility in San Diego, California. The Material Handler will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within the warehouse. This role is essential to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse flow, supporting our overall **Logistics** operations. You will operate various types of equipment to move materials, ensure proper inventory management, and assist with loading and unloading trucks. A strong commitment to **Safety** and efficiency is required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Inspect equipment for safety and operational issues.
- Follow all warehouse procedures and **Safety** protocols.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proven ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Commitment to workplace Safety .
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.
