We are looking for a reliable and organized Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound shipments in Boise, Idaho. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying shipment contents, and ensuring all packages are properly documented and labeled for transit. This role is integral to our **Logistics** department, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our clients. You will coordinate with various carriers, track shipments, and maintain accurate shipping records. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders.
- Package items for shipment, ensuring proper protection and labeling.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain shipping logs and records.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all workplace Safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related role preferred.
- Proficiency in shipping software and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks, including Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to use designated PPE .
- Familiarity with warehouse Logistics .
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following Safety procedures.
