Our busy Baltimore, Maryland distribution center is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials within the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and retrieving items for order fulfillment. A strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Stack and store materials securely in racks and on floors.
- Retrieve products for order picking and staging.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory control tasks and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around your operation.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or license.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good communication skills.
