Join our bustling warehouse team as a Shipping Clerk in Atlanta, Georgia. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our outbound shipments are accurately prepared, documented, and dispatched. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, processing shipping orders, and ensuring that all packages meet dispatch requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of shipping procedures and logistics. Excellent communication and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Responsibilities include: Preparing shipping labels and documentation accurately; Packaging items securely for shipment, selecting appropriate materials; Verifying order details against shipped items to ensure accuracy; Coordinating with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage inbound/outbound logistics; Maintaining accurate shipping records and updating the system; Inspecting outgoing shipments for quality and compliance; Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks as needed; Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE); Contributing to a clean, organized, and safe shipping area. This role requires the ability to perform moderate lifting and stand for extended periods. Familiarity with various shipping software and carrier systems is a plus.
