Job Summary:
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our warehouse operations in Des Moines, Iowa. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, store, and retrieve a wide range of materials. Your duties will include handling incoming shipments, staging outgoing orders, and assisting with inventory counts. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount; you must demonstrate proficiency in safe forklift operation and strictly adhere to all company Safety protocols. The correct use of PPE is mandatory at all times. This position operates within a dynamic logistics environment, requiring focus, precision, and teamwork. You will conduct daily equipment checks and maintain a clean and orderly workspace. While your primary function is forklift operation, occasional Lifting of items may be required. We value individuals who are reliable, responsible, and possess excellent communication skills. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and load/unload materials.
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
Transport inventory to and from receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
Assist with order picking, packing, and staging processes.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow and logistics efficiency.
