We are looking for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our vital logistics hub in Orlando, Florida. This role is critical for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to safety standards. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, verifying inventory, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining detailed records. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, labeling, and packaging.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by processing incoming and outgoing stock promptly.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries, managing schedules and logistics.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipping and receiving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or trade certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in a Shipping & Receiving role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of logistics best practices and safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
