Job Summary:
Our Durham, North Carolina facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. You will be instrumental in managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and optimizing storage procedures. This role is vital to our logistics operations, requiring a sharp analytical mind, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, including adherence to all PPE requirements and safe Lifting practices. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to accurately track inventory movements and status.
  • Monitor inventory for aging, damage, or obsolescence, and take appropriate action.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory storage and organization methods.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Follow proper Lifting techniques to prevent injury and damage to goods.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Generate inventory reports for management review.
  • Assist in training warehouse personnel on inventory control best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role is required.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications or coursework are a plus.
