Our Raleigh, North Carolina facility is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dedicated warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a vital part in our daily logistics operations, ensuring smooth workflow from receiving to shipping. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent damage to goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move materials from receiving areas to storage, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as required.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient logistics flow.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all Lifting guidelines and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to forklift operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
