We are seeking an organized and diligent Inventory Clerk for our Sacramento, California location. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting our **logistics** operations. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, organizing stock, and assisting with receiving and put-away processes. A proactive approach to **safety** is essential, with mandatory use of **PPE** and adherence to all established **safety** guidelines. While this role focuses on accuracy, occasional **lifting** of inventory items may be required. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Maintain accurate inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Organize and arrange inventory within the warehouse for optimal accessibility and **safety**.
- Assist with the receiving process, verifying incoming goods against documentation.
- Support put-away operations, ensuring items are stored correctly.
- Identify and report damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure adherence to all **safety** regulations and the proper use of **PPE**.
- Collaborate with the **logistics** team to manage stock levels and prevent shortages or overages.
- Perform occasional **lifting** and movement of inventory items, up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with WMS software is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow **safety** procedures and correctly utilize **PPE**.
- Understanding of basic **logistics** and inventory control principles.
- Capacity for light physical tasks, including occasional **lifting**.
