Join our vibrant Kansas City, Missouri warehouse as an Order Picker! We are looking for individuals who are precise, efficient, and safety-conscious to join our logistics team. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately gather items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. You will utilize scanning technology and follow pick lists to ensure that the right products are selected and prepared for shipment. This role is foundational to our operational success, requiring stamina, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. We offer a competitive wage and a supportive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Use handheld scanners to track picks and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions against order details.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient operations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Report any damaged goods or inventory discrepancies to a supervisor.
- Participate in inventory counts as directed.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support the logistics team.
- Meet established picking performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding pick lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and scanning devices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic math skills.
