We are looking for a motivated Picker/Packer to join our growing logistics operations in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from our warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Your diligence and efficiency are key to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the smooth flow of goods. Responsibilities:
- Retrieve specific items from warehouse storage locations as indicated on order forms.
- Confirm the accuracy of picked items against order requirements, checking for correct quantity and product type.
- Package picked items using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory tracking and order fulfillment processes.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the picking and packing stations.
- Follow all established safety guidelines and wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment activities.
- Meet daily targets for order volume and accuracy.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and duties as directed by supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret picking instructions and product labels accurately.
- Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must have the strength for lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic logistics concepts and warehouse operations.
- A strong focus on safety and adherence to all company policies.
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
