Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin! This role is pivotal to our logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and handled. You will be responsible for managing the flow of goods, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with carriers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders or other documentation.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and proper packaging.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely to move goods.
  • Accurately record inventory movements and update inventory management systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and shipping dock area.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipments.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes and documentation.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high level of workplace Safety.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
