Join our bustling logistics operation in Boston, Massachusetts as a skilled Forklift Operator. We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. You will play a vital role in ensuring that products are moved efficiently and safely from receiving to storage, and then to shipping. This role demands precision, speed, and a strong understanding of warehouse workflow and Safety procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, and retrieve materials from various warehouse locations.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all Safety guidelines and operating equipment responsibly.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed, especially during peak periods.
- Ensure accurate inventory placement and manage stock levels in designated areas.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in regular safety training and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
- Understand and comply with all Lifting regulations and best practices.
- Support the broader logistics team in achieving operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety and safe work practices.
- Familiarity with various types of logistics equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times in designated areas.
