Saltwater Massage Studio in Gloucester, MA is hiring part-time LMTs. Starting pay is 50% commission ($60 per 60 minute massage and $85 per 90 minute massage) + tips. Additional commission for add-ons and specialty treatments. This is a W-2 position.
We are a small but busy independent LMT-owned business, with a team of 12 therapists and a reception team for scheduling. We value creating a positive, supportive collaborative work environment which is why most of our team members have been at the studio from 2-10 years. This is a great position for someone looking for community, stability and a contained schedule, without the extra work of running a private practice.

*Responsibilities*
* Deliver 3-4 high-quality massage therapy sessions per shifts, scheduled with 30 minutes between sessions. Each session is tailored to individual client needs, utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
* Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safety during sessions, as well as making recommendations for add-on services when appropriate.
* Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend ongoing wellness strategies
* Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, including client feedback and progress notes
* Uphold strict hygiene standards and adhere to all health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with team members to optimize client care and improve service offerings
* Stay informed about the latest developments in massage therapy, physiology, and occupational health practices
*Experience*
* Minimum 1 year experience preferred. Motivated, passionate recent grads will also be considered.
* Knowledge of techniques to address common client issues such as neck and shoulder tension and low back pain.
* Effective communication skills for working with a wide variety of clients.
* Familiarity with prenatal massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management focused massage techniques
* Understanding of human physiology, anatomy, and relevant medical terminology
* Prior experience with conducting intakes and adapting massage sessions to client needs, as well as recommending future treatments.
* Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
* Ability to maintain professional boundaries in the workplace with staff and clients.
Pay: From $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
