You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible. What You’ll Be Doing Supports the design and development of software solutions in accordance with the wider architecture and security standards Supports in the execution of technical decisions, technology choices and architecture for a wide range of high-performance products, capabilities, and platforms, effectively balancing short-term impact with long-term transformation Maintains systems by monitoring and correcting software defects Supports the implementation and maintenance of high-quality tools and automation processes to support continuous delivery and developer productivity Writes, tests and reviews code, refining and rewriting as necessary under supervision and communicates to engineering professionals and colleagues involved in the project Essential Skills Software Testing Application Development Software Development Lifecycle Experience in Automation Attention to detail What we’d like to see on your CV The various phases of the software test lifecycle such as FAT, SAT, UAT, Integration Different test techniques such as black box, white box, soak, performance TDD/BDD Dev-Ops Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) Evidence of testing on multiple platforms such as Linux and Windows and within different languages – Python, Ansible, Mongo, XML, VB, Java, C#, .Net, HTML, AngularJS, JSON, C++, SQL/MySQL/NoSQL, Mongo, Git, Docker, Kubernetes API, Stub and Harness Testing Benefits Competitive salary 10% on target bonus (Depending on country based) BT Pension scheme, minimum 5% Employee contribution, BT contribution 10% On-call allowance (Depending on the requirements of the role) 25 days annual leave (not including bank holidays), increasing with service Flexible benefits including cycle to work, healthcare, season ticket loan World-class training and development opportunities From January 2025, equal family leave: 18 weeks at full pay, 8 weeks at half pay and 26 weeks at the statutory rate for all parents Enhanced women’s health support 24/7 private virtual GP appointments for UK colleagues 2 weeks paid carer’s leave Option to join BT Shares Saving schemes Discounted broadband, mobile and TV packages Access to hundreds of retail discounts including the BT shop Security is one of the fastest growing parts of our global organisation.
