The Role

As the Master Scheduler you will be Responsible for the planning and scheduling of production and development work for both General Engineering and Vacuum Investment cast products, Business Unit (1 and 2) in accordance with customers' shipment sales orders delivery dates.

  • Receive customer purchase orders and initiate DSCO contract review process
  • Schedule Wax Department workload for all engineering, air melt and vacuum investment cast products.
  • Work with Manufacturing to align part priority in each process cell, developing and incorporating plans to balance workflow.
  • Work with manufacturing to ensure that there are no delays to schedules and alter schedules as needed to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Effectively communicate with manufacturing and to management what is needed to attain daily and weekly shipment goals.
  • Responsible to help Purchasing department maintain inventory levels that will allow us to meet financial goals/targets and customer date requirements with uninterrupted workflow due to stock outs.
  • Customer point of contact communicating part status via calls, emails & spreadsheets.
  • Use current production control system to analyse production standards and plant capacity to determine manufacturing needs and human resources needs.

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced PC skills and knowledge of production control computer systems.
  • Experience with world class manufacturing process, and methods, Lean, Kaizen, 6s, TMP (talent management program), and other advanced manufacturing methodologies, tools and concepts
  • Experience at leading production personnel staffing, reviews and goal settings
