Veterinary Technician – Full Time

Camelot Animal Hospital and Boarding Kennel is looking for an energetic and dependable Veterinary Technician to join our team serving a small animal general practice and ophthalmology practice. We prefer a technician with a minimum 3 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital, licensed or license eligible. Our ideal candidate:

• Is familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of Avimark veterinary software is a plus.
• Experience with ophthalmology a plus.

Responsibilities include:

• Induction and Intubation.
• Advanced nursing skills.
• Surgical Skills – Very comfortable in Surgery and requiring minimal supervision.
• Assist with inventory ordering.
• Prepare and maintain clean, sterile and organized exam rooms, lab and treatment areas.
• Use safe and compassionate animal restraint and assist doctors with exams and treatments.
• Collect samples, perform venipuncture and run lab analyses.
• Assist with radiology.
• Wrap and sterilize surgical packs.
• Perform dental cleanings.
• Provide excellent client service and education
• Light administrative tasks

Veterinary receptionist experience is a plus.

Candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance, must have reliable transportation, and pre-employment background and reference checks are required.
