Job Title: Data Governance Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Data Governance Analyst
to support the design, implementation, and optimization of data governance frameworks across the organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and compliance, while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive data governance best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the organization's data governance strategy, policies, and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality metrics, helping identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform data profiling, data lineage analysis, and metadata management activities to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data definitions, business rules, and data ownership.
  • Assist in the implementation of data stewardship workflows and maintain data catalog tools.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Conduct root cause analysis for data issues and partner with engineering teams on remediation plans.
  • Prepare documentation, dashboards, and reports to communicate data governance performance and progress.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and enterprise data governance initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks.
  • Experience with data catalog or governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Talend).
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance regulations.
