Yankee Hill Veterinary Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska is a privately owned hospital looking for a skilled, fun, and energetic veterinary technician to join our fantastic 6 doctor veterinary team. Typical days worked are Mondays through Fridays and one Saturday a month. Exact weekday hours are to be determined. Full time is approximately 40 hours/week and part-time may be up to 30 hours per week. Starting at $26-27/HR depending on experience and skill set.

• currently licensed
• able to closely monitor patients under anesthesia
• proficient in IV catheter placement, blood draws and giving parenteral injections
• a team player and have attention to detail
• eager to learn and improve
• efficient in a fast-pace environment
• a clear, effective communicator with clients and co-workers
• willing to greet clients and co-workers with a smile and promote a positive environment.

Job Overview:

Our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice. Tasks include animal handling, surgical patient care, creating and presenting estimates, accurately entering service charges into the client processing database, extensive client interaction, preparing medications, and maintaining a clean environment.
