Job Summary

LunaFit Fresh is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Prep Cook / Kitchen Assistant to support our meal prep operations on Fridays and Saturdays. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, has solid knife skills, and understands the importance of food safety and consistency.

You'll be working closely with our lead kitchen staff to help prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for our customers. We're looking for someone dependable, efficient, and comfortable following recipes and food safety standards in a professional kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food prep including chopping, slicing, weighing, and assembling ingredients
• Follow recipes and portioning guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
• Support meal production for weekly meal prep orders
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and end-of-shift kitchen reset
• Help with basic inventory restocking and organization as needed
• Work closely with the kitchen lead to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, meal prep, catering, or food service preferred
• Strong knife skills and basic cooking knowledge required
• Understanding of food safety and proper food handling practices
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Schedule

• Part-time
• Fridays & Saturdays
• Daytime hours (exact schedule discussed during interview)

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
